Sojourner Center recognizes Human Trafficking as a pervasive issue around the globe and in Arizona. We actively participate in task forces with the City of Phoenix and community partners, engaging in discussions and resource sharing to address human trafficking.

This month, our staff is attending STOP (Services, Training, Officers, and Prosecutors) Hybrid events, to offer resources to individuals who have had contact with Avondale Police. We also look forward to attending the CATE Community Connections Fair, a collaboration between ASU’s Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research and Fulfilment in Training.

Our ongoing efforts include facilitating a weekly group for the Catholic Charities Diversion Program, offering those arrested for commercial sex trade the opportunity to avoid jail time with education to divert them from re-offending. We also offer support in goal planning, safety planning, emotional support and education on violence dynamics.

Through these efforts, we are committed to the fight against human trafficking and providing comprehensive support to survivors. If you would like to support us in our efforts against human trafficking, please donate to our mission! Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected.

If you or someone you know are being impacted by human trafficking, sexual assault or domestic violence, please reach out to our 24/7 hotline at (602)244-0089. You are not alone.
