Mother’s Day is a time to honor and celebrate the mothers in our lives, and this year, our community has shown incredible support for the mothers at Sojourner Center. Here are some heartwarming initiatives that have taken place:
- Marisa’s Baby Shower: Marisa, a dedicated member of Sojourner Center’s Advisory Committee, organized a baby shower within her community to benefit the parents in our programs. Attendees are encouraged to purchase gifts such as baby clothes, toys, and other essentials, which will aid us in providing for the families in our care.
- Diaper and Wipes Drive: Kimm with Bright Horizons organized a donation drive for diapers and wipes to support the parents at Sojourner Center. These essential items are always in high demand, and Kimm’s drive will help ensure that our parents have access to these necessities.
- Mother’s Day Goodie Bags: Yvette and a team from Labcorp have gone above and beyond to create special goodie bags for the mothers at Sojourner Center. These bags contain hygiene products and fun self-care items, providing our mothers with a much-needed treat. The team also included Mother’s Day cards with empowering messages, in hopes of bringing joy and encouragement during this special time.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from Marisa, Kimm, Yvette, and all those who have contributed to making this Mother’s Day special for those at Sojourner Center.
