November is a month full of gratitude and it is no surprise we have a lot to be thankful for.
Each year we ask you to come together as a community to support us in completing our goals and furthering our mission. We mean it when we say that we could not do what we do without you.

We are overwhelmed by the eagerness and selflessness of our volunteers who have given 6,659 hours of their time to us this year.

  • Our Crisis Shelter and Transitional Housing Campuses received a great deal of upkeep and beautification guaranteeing that our participants live in an enjoyable and inviting environment.
  • Numerous rooms and apartments were deep cleaned for new families just beginning their healing journey.
  • $491,927 worth of donated items were sorted and displayed at our Donation Center so our participants can
self-select the items they need to rebuild their lives.
  • Our Child Development Center classrooms were thoroughly cleaned so all of the children here can learn and grow in a safe space.
  • Countless professional workshops focused to increase skills and knowledge while reminding participant they are worthy of a life of safe independence were provided.

We are also extremely grateful for all of our donors and partners.

  • As it is true with every year, you empowered us to provide excellent trauma-informed care and services to those who enter our doors feeling broken and defeated.
  • You fully funded our Mega Makeover campaign, giving us the means for a much-needed renovation of all our crisis shelter rooms with trauma-informed designs.
  • You allowed us to host a powerful 45th Anniversary Celebration where we recognized our years of service, acknowledged our outstanding staff and partners, and heard from a survivor about their experience and journey with Sojourner Center.

This only scratches the surface of all the support and generosity we have received this past year.
None of it would have been possible without you. We want to say thank you to our Sojourner Center family for helping us overcome the impact of domestic violence, one life at a time.  We are grateful for your continued support, visit our website for our most recent needs and opportunities.
