Each year, Mother’s Day allows us to pause and recognize the immeasurable love and dedication mothers pour into their families. From school drop-off to juggling work, and everything in between, moms carry countless responsibilities every single day. In the midst of caring for everyone else, it can be difficult for them to find time to care for themselves.
At Sojourner Center, we want the moms staying in our housing to feel extra special. In addition to their everyday parenting responsibilities, they are also healing from the trauma and impact of domestic and sexual violence. Their strength, resilience, and courage deserve to be honored.
With the support of Desert Financial Credit Union and Cornerstone Cowgirl Ministry, moms at Sojourner Center will receive self-care bags, flower bouquets, and other meaningful gifts to encourage rest, recovery, and relaxation. These small acts of kindness are a reminder that all mothers are worthy of feeling loved and valued on Mother’s Day and every day in between.
