On November 2, 2024, Sojourner Center’s campus was buzzing with excitement as over 300 volunteers from across the Valley joined forces to transform our Emergency Shelter campus and other program spaces during one incredible day of service. Families, friends, and skilled tradespeople alike came together to leave a lasting mark on our campus, making it a beautiful and welcoming environment for survivors.
This powerful event, organized by Valley Partnership as their 2024 Community Project, was the largest volunteer gathering Sojourner Center has ever hosted. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of the Valley Partnership volunteers, our campus has undergone a complete transformation. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington attended to show their support of Valley Partnership’s contributions to the community and to applaud Sojourner Center’s work.
We are deeply grateful to Valley Partnership for choosing Sojourner Center as the beneficiary of their 2024 Community Project. This day of service was a remarkable gift that will impact the lives of countless survivors who turn to Sojourner Center seeking safety, shelter, and hope. We extend a special thanks to Carrie Martin, Valley Partnership’s Vice President of Events and Membership, whose coordination and passion made this event seamless and successful.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each sponsor who made this day possible. Your generosity made this transformation to our campus possible. This project could not have happened without your support, and we are profoundly grateful for your commitment to our mission.
