The Sojourner Center team came together for our first all-staff meeting of the year, setting a positive tone for 2025 while recognizing January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
We revisited the core pillars of our Philosophy of Care: Trauma-Informed Care, the Strengths-Based Practice, and Empowerment Approach —values that continue to guide our work in serving survivors with compassion and respect. Learn more about these practices!
As part of our ongoing commitment to education and advocacy, the meeting included a presentation on human trafficking awareness. Staff viewed three videos, inspiring conversation and a deeper understanding of the realities faced by those affected. We’ve linked these videos below for you to view and share with your circle to help raise awareness this month.
To close out the meeting, we participated in an empowering art activity focused on positivity. The artwork will be displayed around campus as a source of encouragement and support for the survivors we serve during this important month of advocacy and awareness.
We’re grateful for our dedicated staff and their unwavering commitment to our mission. Here’s to a year of continued learning, growth, and positive impact!
