Valued Donors,
On behalf of all of us at Sojourner Center, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to those of you who have supported our Donation Resource Center over the years. Whether you’ve donated household items, clothing, financial gifts, or your time – we couldn’t do this without you.
Your contributions make all the difference for our residents who often arrive at our gates with nothing more than a grocery bag full of belongings. It’s your support that helps them as they begin a new path to futures free from domestic violence.
We have been overwhelmed by your support in recent months, and have found ourselves in a position of having more items than we’re able to distribute to our residents. As a result, we’ll be temporarily closing the Donation Resource Center while we complete a “summer cleaning” and reorganize to better serve our residents.
While the Donation Resource Center is closed, we’ll be working on the following:
- Implementing a new tracking and inventory system.
- Reorganizing and deep-cleaning our sales floor and storage areas.
- Re-donating items that our residents are unable to use.
We are temporarily unable to accept any new donations from Monday, June 19 through Monday, July 31. The Donation Resource Center will still be accessible to the women and children we serve during this time and we will re-open for new donations on Tuesday, August 1.
If you are interested in volunteering in the Donation Resource Center to help with our summer cleaning and inventory, please contact Melissa DiCesare at mdicesare@sojournercenter.org or 602-296-3346.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the women, children, and pets we serve. Your generosity continues to transform lives.
Many thanks,
Katie Jensen
Interim Director of Advancement
