Dear Sojourner Center Family and Friends,

We appreciate your kindness and concern for the families we serve. The safety and well-being of our participants, employees, supporters, and volunteers are of the highest importance to all of us. In response to growing concerns surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Sojourner Center continues to monitor local and national organizations to make informed, proactive and mindful decisions as to how to mitigate risk while continuing to provide high-level care to the population we serve.

After consulting with the board of directors, senior leaders and the Sojourner Center COVID-19 Response Team, we’ve decided to postpone two major upcoming events, the Together We Thrive Fundraising Luncheon and the Volunteer Appreciation Event.  To us, this difficult decision is the right thing to do.  During this uncertain moment in our history, we see the value and importance for our Sojourner family and friends to turn their attentions toward their own interests, families and loved ones.

Please stay tuned for updates regarding this rescheduling of both of these events.

Things you can do to stay safe:

  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing and/or sneezing.
  • Avoid handshakes and/or hugs.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched items and surfaces such as your keypad, phone, etc.
  • Stay at home if you are sick. Restrict activities outside your home, with exception for seeking medical care.

We will continue to monitor the situation and send updates as needed. Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and for your continued support.

With appreciation,

Sojourner Center Leadership
