Technology connects us, but it can also be used to control, threaten, and harm. For many survivors, abuse doesn’t stop when they reach safety. It follows them online. At Sojourner Center, addressing harm in digital spaces is part of how we support the whole person.
The Global Summit on Tech-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence, hosted annually by the NO MORE Foundation, brings together advocates, researchers, and organizations working toward long-term safety in digital spaces. The summit highlights collaborative approaches to a problem that is growing in scale and impact.
Tech-facilitated abuse takes many forms: blackmail using sexual content, image-based abuse, doxing, online harassment, grooming, hate speech, hacking, and cyberbullying. Much of this abuse limits autonomy and silences voices.
On June 13th, the summit will showcase new safety tools, predictive data, and digital reporting platforms. The knowledge shared there directly shapes how organizations like Sojourner Center support survivors navigating both physical and online threats.
Safer online communities start with better information. Register for the free Summit and learn how we stand with survivors here.
