Every April, for the past 25 years, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) has become a time dedicated to advocating for survivors of sexual violence. As a community, we honor the progress made while continuing to work toward a future where everyone is safe, supported, and valued. This year’s theme, 25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward, celebrates the resilience of survivors and communities that work hard for change.

At Sojourner Center, we make it our mission to provide safety and healing for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. During SAAM and throughout the year, our commitment to supporting survivors as they reclaim their lives free from violence never stops. With each survivor we serve, we continue to learn, grow, and strengthen our ability to support those who keep walking through our doors.

On April 7th, join us in wearing teal for Wear Teal Day as we stand in solidarity to advocate for survivors. You can find share helpful resources with your community here: https://www.sojournercenter.org/resources/
