On March 3rd, the Rio Verde Women’s Golf Association raised $100,000 to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking at Sojourner Center. Through a combination of giving opportunities, including a ball drop, silent auction, live auction, and raise-the-paddle fundraiser, participants came together with a shared commitment to safety, healing, and hope. Their collective generosity will help fund the critical services Sojourner Center provides to survivors as they rebuild their lives, as well as support new renovations for our Emergency Shelter intake room.

The intake room is an essential space at Sojourner Center, often serving as the very first point of contact for survivors seeking safety. Designed to be welcoming and trauma-informed, this space represents the beginning of a survivor’s journey toward stability. Support from the Rio Verde Women’s Golf Association ensures that survivors are met with care, compassion, and reassurance from the moment they walk through our doors.

Partnering with organizations like the Rio Verde Women’s Golf Association has transformed the lives of hundreds of survivors who we serve. For the past eight years, our partnership has raised a total of $315,500 to support survivors and their families. We are deeply grateful for the dedication, generosity, and community spirit that define this long-standing relationship.
