We are excited to welcome Don Sanchez Kitch as Sojourner Center’s Director of Operations! Don brings years of experience working in homeless care across Maricopa County, where he often referred clients to Sojourner Center for support. When he saw the opportunity to join our team he knew it was the perfect fit, allowing him to combine his program skills, facility management experience, and passion for helping others.
For Don, Sojourner Center’s mission is deeply personal. “Life is about the connections we share and how we learn to support one another along the way. I cannot think of anything more important than being a respite for people seeking a safe place during a tumultuous period of life. I think of the complex periods in my own history and how fortunate I was to have people provide unconditional support—that is Sojourner to me.”
In his time here so far, Don has already been inspired by our Donation Resource Center, which provides clothing and home goods to the survivors we serve. He sees it as not only an essential resource for families but also a meaningful way for the community to engage with Sojourner’s mission.
We are thrilled to have Don’s leadership and heart guiding our operations, ensuring Sojourner Center continues to be a place of safety, dignity, and healing for survivors and their families.
See the rest of our leadership team here!
