For years, Sojourner Center’s Transitional Housing Program has provided a safe and stable home for survivors of violence and their children as they rebuild their lives. This program offers families secure housing, supportive services, and the time and space needed to heal and plan for the future.
With so many families finding comfort here over the years, the campus has naturally experienced its share of wear and tear. Walls have held the laughter and tears of new beginnings, kitchens have seen countless shared meals, and common areas have been gathering places for connection and growth. While these signs of use tell the story of resilience, they also signaled that it was time for a refresh.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of QuikTrip, Pulte Homes, HomeAid Phoenix, and the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation, we are thrilled to announce that our Transitional Housing Campus is undergoing an exciting renovation!
The project includes:
- Roofing and fascia repairs to keep our buildings safe and secure.
- Fresh exterior paint to brighten and renew our spaces.
- All new kitchen and bathroom cabinets to make daily life more functional and welcoming.
- A brand new basketball court, offering a place for children and families to play and connect.
These updates are more than just physical changes. For the survivors who live here, a renewed environment represents dignity, hope, and the belief that they deserve beautiful, well-cared-for spaces.
We cannot thank our donors and partners enough for making this transformation possible. Your support ensures that survivors and their children have not only a safe place to live but also a place that inspires healing, joy, and confidence in the future.
