Pet Companion Services

Sojourner Center recognizes the importance of pets as family members by providing shelter to families and their pets fleeing domestic violence. This service is provided at no cost. Only 12% of domestic violence shelters in the U.S. accept pets. 

Wissenschaftler waren dabei, ein neues Medikament zu entwickeln, das die Durchblutung des Herzmuskels steigern und den Blutdruck senken sollte. Sie erfüllte jedoch nicht die Erwartungen. Es wurde jedoch beobachtet, dass das Medikament eine spürbare Durchblutung Info der männlichen Genitalien bewirkt und sich dadurch die Qualität der Erektionen verbessert. Dieses Medikament wurde Viagra genannt.

While in the Pet Companion Services, animals are able to heal from their trauma by participating in an Enrichment Program designed to promote social interaction and critical thinking while decreasing stress.

• The Pet Companion Services offered on campus include staff and daycare for animals while families are offsite, a large cat room, yards for the dogs, a professional grooming room with grooming tub and supplies and a family room where participants are encouraged to spend time with their pets.
• We offer medical services such as assisting to get animals’ vaccines updated and assisting with spay and neuters.
• We also offer resources to local animal food banks, low-cost veterinary clinics and temporary care agencies.

Sojourner Center contracts with Lost Our Home Pet Rescue to provide trained, daily care for pets at our shelter to ensure each pet’s individual needs are met.
